I have Mary. Thankfully my doc and I talk on the phone. He had to convince me to take it and it's a very low dose. But Ike I said. First sign of any wonkiness I'm calling him. Currently it's been 2 days on my new meds.

Dear Georgia, No statins for me! Pretty sure statin use is why I have MG. I am predisposed to high cholesterol but my doctor says the severe side effects of statin use verses the risk of heart complications is too risky. The doctors have in my chart not to put me on statins ever again.

I have high cholesterol & my cardiologist won’t put me on a statin because of my MG & my muscle & joint pain from other autoimmune conditions I have. She did put me on a prescription fish oil pill called Vascepa & I also use Repatha which is an injection I do at home every 2 weeks. My cholesterol has come down substantially. Still elevated but my numbers halved so that’s progress. I also tolerate both very well.
