Hi Mary, my symptoms are specific to whatever I'm doing during the day. They usually last anywhere from 2 to 4 hours and resolve with rest. It's so hard to be in the middle of a big project and be unable to finish it.......especially when I look so hale and hearty.......not sick at all. Hard to explain to people who know nothing about MG.

My symptoms to gMG is an everyday occurrence. To do any type of physical activity is not going to happen. Even with what I do what to say I do walk with a cane now that I never used before and if I get tired I take a nap. Their is no shame in doing that. My limitations I have learned to live with and accept. I replaced strenuous activities with pyrography. It helps keep my brain active. As long as my hands don't fail me I think I will be fine. Yes I am 78yo.

Mine are specific to activity.
Blurry and double vision from lack of sleep or reading too much on my phone.
Facial jitters just from talking.
Tinnitus idk it comes and goes in severity. I take lipoflavanoid.
Leg and arm flares from daily activity so I always limit everything. Muscle cramps I fix with a shot of pickle juice or two depending on severity. It works in Seconds.
I've recently started Tai chi for my arms shoulders back hips and legs. So far so good.
Stay hopeful 😎

My symptoms vary and fluctuate but I'm always fatigued easily. Sometimes I'm in quite a bit of pain with any activity.

MG symptoms can vary significantly from person to person and even throughout a single day. They typically get worse with activity and improve with rest. For example, someone might start their day symptom-free but develop weakness as they use certain muscle groups throughout the day. Symptoms are often activity-specific and can affect different muscle groups at different times. Common activities that may trigger symptoms include:
- Talking
- Chewing
- Swallowing
- Breathing
- Brushing teeth and combing hair
- Standing from a seated position
- Using eye muscles (causing double vision or drooping eyelids) The duration and severity of symptoms can fluctuate hourly or daily. Certain triggers like stress or illness may cause symptoms that aren't usually present. It's important to track these patterns and discuss them with your neurologist, as changes in symptom patterns might indicate a need to adjust your treatment plan.
