Members reassured a worried parent that daytime sleepiness and frequent napping are completely normal with myasthenia gravis, with many sharing they nap daily or multiple times per day, especially when infusions are due. Several members emphasized the importance of listening to your body and letting it rest when needed, explaining that sleep is when the nervous system gets a break from constantly trying to communicate with muscles. A recurring theme was encouragement to never apologize for asking questions, as the community is here to support one another through the shared journey of living with MG.

Napping is something I've gotten use to over the past year. Good thing I don't drive.
Embrace it. We are healing when we sleep. Our nervous system is always trying to communicate with our muscles. It needs a break. Maybe more than one sometimes. She'll feel better if you just let her rest.
I had more energy at night and that was good because my light sensitivity gave me headaches.
Stay hopeful 😎 ☺️

Dear Johanna! You could never ask too many questions! The more we can hear from our fellow members, the more we can learn important things about MG.
As far as sleep, I have been falling deeply asleep right after dinner almost nightly now for about 3 months. I think you should get sleep whenever your body tells you to. If this means sleeping in the day time hours, then so be it!!😴😴

Yes. When your body say that it is tired, take a nap.
