Members overwhelmingly confirmed that stress directly worsens myasthenia gravis symptoms, with some sharing that severe flare-ups have even led to hospitalizations and that stress played a role in their initial diagnosis. Several members offered practical coping strategies, including deep breathing exercises, meditation, yoga, removing stressors when possible, and discussing medications like Trazodone with their doctors to help manage both sleep and anxiety without highly addictive options. A recurring theme was the profound loneliness and isolation many face while managing MG, with members expressing deep gratitude for the community as a lifeline for connection, hope, and encouragement through their shared journey.

It helps to know that there are other people out there dealing with the same thing or something similar. Good luck!
And don't lose hope. Praying for remission for you.

There’s a saying - stress will kill you. When I get stressed I’ll sit and take deep breaths in and out and think happy thoughts. They say yoga is great for your mind and body. life is stressful but I guess it’s how we deal with the stress that makes the difference.

Sorry, I wasn't finished. I have learned here about Trazadone. They said it was an acceptable sleep aid. One of the side effects is it helps with anxiety. I fight with insomnia regularly. I talked with my neurologist, and he agreed to let me try it. So far so good. I'm also learning about Meditation.
Good luck in your journey.

Hang in there. There is hope.
I am proof of that. I was in remission for over 30 years. They'll never stop. Hoping and pray it can get better.
