Hi Alice, me too.
But I have other autoimmune diseases. I do have a neuropathy diagnosis which causes pain and falls because I don’t feel wher my feet are in space. I always need sneakers on as it is less painful and I manage my feet better in space (better balance).
Many times we have other diseases beyond MG that give us other symptoms, like neuropathy or arthritis or loss of the padded tissue that used to sodften are walking when we were younger.
Question: What causes foot problems and numbness in someone with generalized MG?
Generalized MG can affect walking and movement due to muscle weakness throughout the body. When MG affects the voluntary muscles in your legs and feet, it can make walking difficult and cause problems with balance and coordination. It's Show Full Answer
Hi Alice, I have had pins & needles pain in my feet & calves to the point where standing & walking even to my mailbox was too painful. At night I couldn’t even have blankets cover my feet. When the arm & leg weakness followed it was scary. I definitely felt like I didn’t have control over my arms & legs. No matter how hard I tried I couldn’t will my legs to lift up. But this was before I knew what was wrong. After I finally was diagnosed with MG my neurologist put me on a treatment plan that included Lyrica & that numbness pins & needles feeling has been so much better. I’m sorry you are suffering with your symptoms. I hope you can get on a treatment plan that works for you.
Hi Alice.
I am glad you asked that question about your feet. I have a similar issue but from the answer the MG team gave, I realize now that it is probably from the MG. The front of my legs also bother me.
There are so many possible symptoms with MG. That is why it is called the snowflake disease.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. God bless.
Hello Alice.
I also have problems with my feet and legs. I get sensations like they are tight like as if there's not enough skin to surround th bones...it's a odd feeling. My balance is not good and it's use a rollator.
