Members with myasthenia gravis shared helpful food tips, focusing on soft, easy-to-chew options like chicken, fish, ground turkey, cooked vegetables, smoothies, and fresh fruits. A recurring theme was adapting meals to fit both MG challenges and medication needs, with several members noting that dairy like yogurt can reduce absorption of CellCept and should be avoided close to dosing times. Many community members also described using smoothies as a practical, flexible alternative to help take medications and stay nourished.

Yogurt prevents absorption of cell cept. It's best to eat forbidden food 2 to 3 hours after you take your meds.

Well my diet has changed again.
I can't have the leafy, green veggies anymore because of cellcept and ice cut back on foods like rice because of asphyxiation.
I'm doing more easy to chew and swallow foods and smoothies. My list isn't that different I guess but the portions and bites are smaller.
Less chocolate 😔 . More fruit smoothies. No more yogurt. Cellcept says no. 🙄
Trying to stay hopeful 😎

In the past year I have been doing anti inflammatory diet.
Now anybody who knows me knows I like to use myself as a test dummy 😎
That being said
It works for me.
I'm doing intermittent fasting right now along with the diet because it is very difficult to evacuate my bowels,
So I'm down to 2 meals a day until the end of this month.
I fast 16 hours and eat my meals and drink my smoothies in an 8 hour period. I can have water and tea while fasting.
I try to eat only fresh veggies and fruits.
No nuts except my almond milk, which is only used in my tea. No dairy except boiled eggs. 1 a day.
Very little bread of any kind
Of the which I will have a sandwich sometimes but no cheese.
I eat meat, fish, poultry whatever I like.
My smoothies consist of 1 to 3 different fruits. A probiotic shot and 1/8 to 1/4 cup of almond milk. That usually fills me up right away and then I'll have my meal a few hours later.
I keep it simple and light.

Try making food smaller or if you can blend some and leave smaller pieces in it to go down better I found textures of food difficult like bread crackers some biscuits and meat especially beef . Chicken fish and other softer meats were ok ,it seems we have to go backwards and eat like babies and keep trying different food to find out what will go down well with no problems. I'm sorry you are having this issue as food is important and we love to eat naturally because we also reward ourselves this way good luck with your diet

Good for you, Johanna!! In dealing with both MG and allergies it is so important that you can be flexible and willing to try doing things differently!
